Furry Tales

Chico

Chico needs your help fast, but maybe you need a Chico in your life too

Meet the Cherished Chico, the ten year old who’s about to be orphaned

Cuddly Chico has not only lost his “father” who passed away recently, but his elderly “mum” is now moving to the UK and cannot take him along. The distraught elderly lady hopes to find a home for him before her departure on 7 July. After a decade with his human parents, Chico now faces a kennel in his twilight years. Time is running out to find a home for this affectionate and very well-mannered little dog. He does not demand anything, except love and a daily walk. Please help us find a good home for Chico so he can enjoy his retirement in a comfortable and dignified manner.

Then there’s the Pup With No Name

Dog lover Mickey found this little white bundle on the street, severely malnourished and in bad shape. Mickey has taken him in and thanks to her loving care, the little dog is becoming strong with a sunny disposition. Unfortunately Mickey already has three four-legged friends of her own and is not in the position to keep her. According to the vet the little mixed breed is between four and six weeks old. Pups require patience. So, only apply if you have the time and energy this fun job requires.

You can e-mail Mickey at chloeandyves@gmail.com

If you want to adopt or know of a family who needs a four-legged friend, see www.watershed.org.za or contact Lizma: lizma@smile904.fm

Please note the Mzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha has asked very nicely for people to donate collars – especially for dogs between 12 and 25 kg’s.
